Since July, the Coil Master automatic packaging machine was installed in the Ternium Industrial Center's Galvanizing Plant, which packs steel rolls with an 100% recyclable polyethylene fiber.
Since July, the rolls of the Galvanizing line from the Ternium Industrial Center in Pesqueria, Mexico are packaged with an eco-friendly polyethylene fiber.
Did you know that Ternium uses 100% recyclable packaging?
The Coil Master automatic packaging machine packs steel rolls with a 100% recyclable polyethylene fiber.
This eco-friendly fiber has a high level of elasticity to speed up the packaging process. It also has an anti-abrasive top coating, another one with the company logo on it, and other three coatings that give the product more resistance for its transportation and preservation, explained Ernesto Reyes, Specifications and Technical Queries Manager.
"All reports we have about the chemical composition of the material indicate that it is 100% recyclable and eco-friendly", said Reyes.
In addition, the inner packaging includes a coating that prevents corrosion and rust on the surface of the rolls. The ink used to print the logo is water-based to prevent any type of contamination.
Unlike packaging machines from other lines, this one is fully automatic and only needs two operators for its functioning.
"The security level is higher since it is an automatic machine", mentioned Daniel Mendoza, Galvanizing and Painting Lines Manager at Pesqueria. "In this area, employees supply the materials, verify that the line keeps running by authorizing the entry of materials, and validate that the packaging is being made under the quality criteria that ensures the protection of the product".
This machine is able to cover the entire production mix that comes out from the Galvanizing line, as it covers the dimensions and widths of the outer diameter of the rolls.
