In response to the COVID-19 health emergency, on May 11, Ternium delivered four pulmonary ventilators to Colima for patients requiring intensive care, as well as two intensive care beds, two vital signs monitors, and a biosafety kit to protect health workers on duty during the health emergency, including over 21,000 items designed to protect medical personnel.
The equipment and materials were delivered to the Secretary of Health and Social Welfare of the State Government, as well as to the IMSS Delegation in Colima.
This contribution to the Colima community to help them in their fight against COVID-19 bolsters efforts already being made, as the idea is to support all doctors and health professionals working on the front line of care to contain the pandemic.
Ignacio Peralta, Governor of the State of Colima, stated that "Ternium's donation is a vital one, as they are not only providing equipment for intensive care patients, but also biosecurity items for our medical personnel, who are our first line of defense."
