Ternium was once again present as an official sponsor at ExpoAgro, the largest open field agro-industrial exhibition in Argentina, which was held again in person after two years. Within this framework, the seventh edition of the Premio Ternium ExpoAGRO for Agroindustrial Innovation was awarded. Martín Berardi, Executive President of Ternium Argentina, and José del Boca Commercial Vice President of Ternium Argentina presented the distinctions together with Expoagro authorities. In addition, Berardi gave his perspectives on the sector by 2022.
“The Ternium ExpoAgro Award for Agroindustrial Innovation is a classic that is renewed every year together with the industry, with new categories in these latest editions such as irrigation, robotics or good agricultural practices”, said Berardi. In this edition, 17 developments were distinguished among the 70 that were presented from provinces such as Santa Fe, Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Tierra del Fuego, Tucumán, CABA, and Santiago del Estero, which are exhibited at the Ternium stand, within the premises of the ExpoAgro.

Although there is a mention of imported developments, it stands out that 60% of the parts of the award-winning products and prototypes are of national origin. The Ternium Expoagro Award for Agroindustrial Innovation is a distinction for the Argentine industry that is committed to research and development. “This award is a seal of quality, a guarantee of excellence that positions you and your products in the market at the forefront of innovation in the sector, and gives you visibility in the most important agribusiness show in Argentina”, Berardi told the distinguished companies during the award ceremony.
In addition, the President of Ternium referred to sustainability and the possibilities offered by technology to reduce the impact of our activities on the environment and improve competitiveness at the same time.
In his speech, Berardi also spoke of the importance of agriculture as a catalyst for the economy and assured that if the countryside grows, the industry also grows. “Agriculture is one of the growth engines of the country and has an enormous multiplier effect for the industry”, and he closed “the field has a very high national integration and impact. When the field pulls, the industry grows”. Finally, he highlighted the potential of energy and agriculture for the year”.
