Since 2009, the Award Ternium Expoagro honored more than 80 innovations.
Registration for the 7th edition of the Ternium Expoagro Award for Agro-industrial Innovation is officially open. The event is a collaboration with the German Society of Agriculture, honoring those developments that introduce improvements or strategic inventions linked to agricultural machinery, in 12 different branches.
With more than 80 renowned innovations since its creation in 2009, Ternium and Expoagro launch the 7th edition of the Ternium Expoagro Award for Agro-industrial Innovation, its goal being the promotion and encouragement of the development of national and international originated agricultural machinery and the boosting of international competitiveness.
For as long as a decade, this Award has set the course of technological advance in the agro-industrial sector, which represents a great challenge and commitment for its participants, always generating high expectations. This year promises to summon up the most groundbreaking developments. Companies, manufacturers, or people interested in participating will have the opportunity to present their projects until September 30th, 2020, at www.expoagro.com.ar/premio
The seal of innovation will be in charge of a renowned jury, formed by 18 national and international specialists, coming from more than 15 public and private institutions from the sector. Saturday, November 29th and Sunday, November 30th, the oath will take place, and the first week of December, the winners will be announced. As a grand finale, prizes will be awarded at Expoagro 2021, March 9th through the 12th in San Nicolas.
“The goal is to award a product that is innovative in Argentina as well as in Germany, or a product improvement already executed that offers a concrete solution to a problem regarding the agro-industrial sector,” noted Hernán Ferrari, agricultural engineer, tech from INTA and jury member.
He also added: “Without a doubt, this is a great opportunity to visualize the wit and the creativity that we so proclaim concerning Argentinian creators and developers.
Medals and mentions will be awarded during Expoagro 2021
More than just an award
Under the premise of recognizing effort, passion, and practical intelligence applied to technological development, Gold and Silver Medals will be awarded to those developments originated in the country that presents such innovation that allows a substantial change or an evolution in functions and procedures, respectively. Mention will also be given to those developments that originated abroad.
The winners of the Gold Medal will also receive a 75 m² space at the National Capital of Agribusiness 2022.
Besides, the German Society of Agriculture (DLG) will be able to choose one of the winning developments presented at the Agritechnica fair in Hannover, Germany, taking place from November 14th thru the 20th, 2021.
The Award aims to promote the development of technology nationally originated and to boost international competitiveness.
Who can participate?
Agricultural machinery manufacturers, agro-industrial companies and legal persons, 18 years old at least, both of national or foreign origin, who can demonstrate the authoring or co-authoring and intellectual ownership of the presented development.
