Thanks to Ternium steel, clients such as Metalia —in Mexico—, metallic cabinet maker for the medical industry, manufactures essential products for the health market.
The medical industry plays a fundamental role in providing enough equipment and products to hospitals and health clinics across the country, and at the same time, helping them support their fight against coronavirus. Steel is vital for the production of many of these products.
That is the case of Metalia, which needs Ternium´s plates and sheets to be able to produce metallic cabinets directed to the medical and electrical industry, products ending up being used by hospitals and medical offices, explained Patricio Narro, Chief of Projects of this company.
“All the products we manufacture in this facility are made with steel and Ternium is our most critical supplier, he indicated, “they have been a strategic ally for us.”
Metalia is part of the Propymes program, which seeks to boost the productivity of small and medium companies that are part of the value chain of the enterprise. Propymes currently has 864 incorporated companies; this program was created in 2006.
As of today, Propymes has enabled 578 owners and managers from 435 companies and 1,471 mid-level management and supervisors from 399 companies.
To promote all clients and preserve the health of all workers, the company has strengthened all preventive measures against Covid-19, pointed out Juan José Garza, Coordinator of Logistics from the Nogalar plant.
“It is imperative to maintain our processes alongside a safe work environment, providing our people with the facilities to keep producing and continue delivering our products to essential industries, Garza noted out.
Ever since the coronavirus contingency started, all preventive measures have been activated, like the mandatory use of face masks in and out facilities, temperature filters in every access point, and communication campaigns to maintain a safe distance of at least 1.5 meters.
Ternium´s steel is key to manufacture essential products for hospitals, therefore supporting the fight against coronavirus.
