Technical Gen: Investment Plan for the Strengthening of Technical Education
Investment began in 2020, with the objective of improving the training and development facilities for technical schools, and then inaugurating the Robotics Laboratories of the Technical School N° 6 (220 square meters split into 2 classrooms, a workplace, and premises) equipped with the utmost cutting edge technology which gave this school in San Nicolás the honor of having the best equipped and most updated robotics laboratory of the public education establishments in the country, the work plan continued with the complete renovation of the spaces of the Technical School N°3 “Juan Bautista Alberdi”, where the ceilings of the core classrooms, bathrooms, galleries, management office, and halls were repaired, a full paint job, aluminum closings, and the replacement of furniture in classrooms and other spaces were performed, among other works which were achieved by the investment in the institution.
The plan continued with more infrastructure and equipment works which prioritized the schools in the region and gave the students better spaces to learn in. In the same vein, in the Villa Ramallo Technical School N°1, 3 technological classrooms were inaugurated in December 2021: With a 351 m2 surface, they are equipped with robots, computers, and the appropriate furniture. Additionally, the replacement of the electrical wiring of the institution was carried out. In the San Nicolás Technical School N°2, the repair of the ceilings of the workshop was carried out along with the replacement of membranes and waterproofing works. Also, a second floor is being constructed, with a surface of 453 m 2 where the completely equipped Computer, Technical drawing, and CAD design labs will be located.
In the Fray Luis Beltrán Institute, the works contemplated the covering of the courtyard (518 m2) and a virtual welding classroom with 10 welding simulation devices that will facilitate the safe practice of the students.
At the Technical School N°6 of San Nicolas is perhaps the most imposing part of this plan, the construction of a Gymnasium/multi-purpose room with a surface of 1,550 m2.
And due to technology and virtual education being here to stay, 4 technological classrooms were inaugurated in the schools Ramallo N°1 and N°2, Fray Luis Beltrán N°6 of San Nicolás. Each of these classrooms has 40 laptops, an Interactive Whiteboard, video and audio devices for conferences, and full connectivity.
Today we have reached a new milestone in this infrastructure plan of Technical Gen: The start of the expansion work of the N°3 school, which envisions 5 classrooms, 1 kitchen-diner, 1 vice principals office and 1 psycho-pedagogical board, a work of 576 m2.
During the signing of the contract the directors of the San Nicolas school board, the N°3 school, and of Ternium Argentina were present, as well as the representatives of the construction company which won the bid for carrying out the work.
