The vaccination point was operated by the Roadrunner Brigade.
The COVID-19 Vaccination Center at the Clínica Nova Hospital in Mexico continues to support federal, state and municipal authorities as they deploy the vaccination campaign.
Some 31,458 people aged between 30 and 49 years from the community of San Nicolás de los Garza joined Ternium employees, their families and company contractors, as they visited the Center from July 29 to August 4 to get vaccinated against the disease.
On July 29 and 30, and on August 4, 10,932, people aged 40 to 49 received the second dose of the Sinovac vaccine at the center located in the Club Nova gym.
From July 31 to August 4, 20,526 people between 30 and 39 years old were vaccinated with the first dose supplied by the pharmaceutical company Pfizer. Those who had not been vaccinated earlier as well as pregnant women over 18 from the 9th week of gestation were also welcomed to be vaccinated.

José Antonio Luviano, the Critical Areas coordinator at the Clínica Nova Hospital, and General Coordinator at the Ternium Community Hospital, said that this module enables Ternium and the Clínica Nova Hospital to combine their efforts in the battle against the pandemic.
"This is our chance to combat COVID-19, as getting vaccinated is an essential step toward reducing the case load," he pointed out. "However, unfortunately, very often it’s not until someone in the family falls ill that the disease becomes relevant. People should not wait for this to happen, as the vaccine will really help to reduce the coronavirus case load.”
The vaccination point was operated by the Roadrunner Brigade, involving collaborators from the Ministry of Welfare, the Ministry of Health, Foreign Relations, the Ministry of National Defense and the Navy, working alongside the local authorities from San Nicolás de los Garza, explained María Cristina Rodríguez, logistics coordinator for the vaccination brigade in Nova.
Some 80 workers from the Clínica Nova Hospital, including doctors, nurses, guards and administrative staff, joined the authorities for this campaign.
There were 31,458 people between 30 and 49 years of age from the community of San Nicolás de los Garza.
"We are extremely grateful to have been able to use these facilities, it’s very important to work together to achieve this," added Luis Alberto López from the Roadrunner Brigade.
The Nova Vaccination Center was equipped with a registration module, vaccination booths, an observation area, a first aid area, three observation cubicles for people feeling unwell after being vaccinated, and an ambulance for emergencies.
“I was really pleased about the vaccination, I’ve just had the first jab. As soon as I saw the option offered by the Clínica Nova Hospital, although I’m not a Ternium employee, I felt very much at ease and well cared for,” said Mario Cantú, a resident of San Nicolás de los Garza.
This is the third vaccination drive which brings Ternium and Hospital Clínica Nova together to support the authorities in their community. In April, a first series of doses were applied to people of 60 years and older; and in June a second round was held to vaccinate those aged from 40 to 49.
