We donated Industrial Robotics equipment, including 2 ABB IRB120 robotic arms and one ABB YUMI 14000 dual-arm collaborative robot.
As part of our educational program "Technical Gene", two laboratories of Robotics and Automation were inaugurated at the Technical School N°6 in San Nicolas in line with the infrastructure and equipment plan that has been implemented for over 10 years at the institution.
Aiming to improve the education and development spaces in industrial schools, two laboratories of Robotics and Automation were inaugurated at the Technical School N°6 with an investment of $ 18.000.000 ARS made by the TERNIUM Company and the Agustin & Enrique Rocca Foundation. The construction takes up to 220 m² with two classrooms, one workplace, and other spaces. Moreover, new learning spaces were equipped with the highest technology and as a result, this school in San Nicolas holds the newest and best equipped robotics lab among all the public education facilities in the country.
180 people participated in the inauguration via ZOOM, including students and teachers of the school, principals of other technical schools in the area, authorities of the district, regional, and provincial education system, and authorities from Ternium, the Techint Organization, and the ABB and Siemens companies.
The virtual ribbon cutting and plate unveiling ceremony was led by Atilio Lucchesi and Carlos Romero (Director and Coordinator of the Technical School N°6), Andrea Martinez (President of the Student Council), Lorena Cardona (Regional Manager of Robotics and Automation from the ABB Latin American Region and former student), and Fernando Favaro (Manager of Community Relations of Ternium Argentina).
During the virtual ceremony via ZOOM, everyone participated in the tour of the new facilities and listened to the speech given by Martin Berardi (Executive President of Ternium), Mariano Ferraris (Provincial Director of Technical Education), Marcela Moré (Education Inspector of Region 12), and Agustina Gruffat (Government Secretary of San Nicolas). Additionally, the audience also listened to the welcome speech given by the Principal of the school and the moving words of Lorena Cardona, as representative of the ABB Company and former student of the institution.
