Education is an essential pillar for young people to find new and better opportunities for their personal and professional life.
Through its community relations programs, Ternium has promoted education with scholarships and infrastructure improvements for different schools nationwide. In the last two months, this support has been more present than ever.
A New Generation of Technicians
In mid-July, 118 students, 60 of whom were Electromechanics and 58 Mechatronics, graduated from the Roberto Rocca Technical School (ETRR, for its acronym in Spanish), becoming the third generation of this educational institution.
Of those students, 34 are women and 84 are men. On average, all the students in the class received a 96% scholarship. 40% of them are on track to continue their studies or enter the labor market.

This initiative contributes to skill building for Industry 4.0, by offering training to teachers, as well as equipment and new infrastructure for educational institutions.
Through an alliance with the CECyTE, around 11 million dollars were allocated to the Pesquería campus (efforts focused since 2019), for the construction and equipment of an Industrial Maintenance Workshop, classrooms, and computer equipment, courses, and training for institutional and teaching strengthening.
