As part of the Roberto Rocca ExtraClass Program, the students of Primary School No. 26 in Ramallo, received an exceptional visit: Guadalupe Molinaro, from Nicole, Licentiate in Natural Resources and Coordinator of Rewilding Argentina, shared all her knowledge in two meetings with the students of Phase 3 of the program and the 6th grade students of the educational institution.
The talks were aimed at promoting environmental awareness among children and are designed to complement the work being done in the framework of the STEM Biodiversity Module, strengthening the activities before the presentation of projects at the Science Fair.
These spaces also seek to provide students with a solid understanding of the basic concepts of environmental education. Guadalupe addressed topics such as biodiversity and the importance of the ecosystem of the species reintroduction program that the Rewilding Argentina Foundation carries out in El Impenetrable National Park, where Guadalupe lives and works.
The talks were nurtured by the children's questions and their interest in telling Guadalupe about the Ramallo ecosystem.
These topics are not only relevant to their STEM projects but are also crucial to foster a conscious and active generation in the preservation of the environment.
Primary School No. 26 of Ramallo participated in the Volunteers in Action Program in 2023 and is where Ternium has been implementing the Roberto Rocca ExtraClass Program for 10 years.
While paper, PET plastic, and glass are known for their potential to be reused in everyday life, steel stands out for its ability to be recycled infinitely, always maintaining its original properties. This characteristic has led it to become the most recycled material globally!
Environmental commitment is an everyday issue, but today, in particular, we invite you to learn more about how we recycle scrap at Ternium through our processes to give it a new life. Together, we contribute to take care of the environment.
