The Energy Transition website published its second newsletter dedicated to detailing some of the main actions that Techint Group companies are taking to use cleaner energy sources.
In this edition, the CEO of Ternium Maximo Vedoya highlighted the fundamental role that the company is playing towards a greener future: “Steel is essential for energy transition and for a low carbon economy”.
The newsletter also explains in detail how Tenova has developed a unique business proposition to play a crucial role in the low-impact extractive metallurgy and the energy transition of metals and ores.
It also describes the new Business Unit created by Tecpetrol with the mission to diversify revenues and business sources in a scenario of decline in the role of hydrocarbons. The Unit is led by Andrea Rocca and has a team of employees experienced in business development and market analysis, a technical group, and an expanding network of other technologists and specialists.
Last but not least, the publication has the summary “Net-zero until 2050: a roadmap for the global energy sector”, based on the report of the International Energy Agency (IEA) prepared by experts at Tecpetrol. Among other issues, the project says that “there is no single way to approach the transition to clean energy”.
The newsletter also has a data section that allows for a better understanding of the energy transition implications.
