In a ceremony, in which companies with best practices for preserving their workers’ integrity were prized, Ternium got the Prize of Security from Colmena Leaders in Prevention.
The company was at the awarding ceremony with the project ‘Continuous Improvement Equipment in Safety’ and got first place in the category of Leading Company for Prevention, in this acknowledgment granted by Colmena every year, which was delayed by the pandemic in 2020.
“Participating in this kind of program is very valuable for Ternium, because it allows us to layout our contributions in security in Colombia through security colleagues, and experts in different matters. They provide us with technical feedback to improve our system”, ensured engineer Franco Pantoja from HISE.
This distinction integrates successful projects that have been managed with companies affiliated with Colmena Seguros, which have been outstanding in developing and implementing measures to prevent working accidents and/or working illnesses, with a result being evident in their reduction.
“The main lesson is being able to share with industries across different sectors of the economy, and we can learn from their achievements for development in security. Thus we strengthen our goal of making each person go back home every day to their families while increasing the life quality levels in the areas in which we work, aligned with our vision of security”, declared Pantoja.
Franco Pantoja, Chief of Hygiene and Security, together with Martín Ceballos, Director of Human Resources International; got the recognition of being Leaders in Prevention
Additionally to this, in 2020 the same project “Continuous Improvement Equipment for Security” obtained second place in the Prices of the Iberoamerican Foundation for Occupational Safety and Health (FISO).
These acknowledgements are an important incentive to move forward with all the measures to preserve security of all our collaborators in each and every one of the processes.
