José Fonrouge, Global Sustainability Senior Director, attended an event with leaders, referents, businessmen, and entrepreneurs to discuss sustainable practices.
Together with Sebastián Rodríguez Pavarino, General Manager of Sanofi's Consumer Health Unit, María Rigou, Executive Director of Climate Change and Sustainability Services at EY, and Natalia Persini, Undersecretary of Environment of the Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, they discussed circularity and sustainable production.
After his presentation, José commented on his academic career and current global sustainability director role, stating that it is "a responsibility that I carry with great pride".
To introduce how sustainability and circularity work in the steel industry, José brought a can. "Can represent the virtuousness, from the environmental point of view, of steel in the world. It is infinitely recyclable, a virtuous material that does not lose its properties when one wants to produce steel again. And it also has a magnetic property that allows it to be safely separated from the waste stream", said José.
